Akko is located in Galilee, Northern Israel 20 minutes from Haifa on the Mediterrean Sea. It has a population of 50,000, consisting of 35% Arab and 65% Jewish.
The church began in 1960 in Old Akko. Presently it is located in the new city of Akko, being led by Pastor Hani and Faten Sayegh. They have 4 children ages from 3 1/2 to 14.
We are registered as an Amuta (a state non-profit organization).
We have been renting space from the Russian church in Akko since September 2008. The monthly rent is 500NIS with the agreement that we do the cleaning of the church.
There are approximately 40-50 congregants attending per week with 18 of those as members.
Unity with the ABC (Association of Baptist Churches)
There are 18 churches in the ABC. We are in harmony and united with all.
